Thanks, CA!

This afternoon, C and I decided to have lunch together since both of us were working from home and we were getting a little stir-crazy.  Having tried to go to work earlier this morning, and turning around about a mile away, I was not keen on driving anywhere.   We opted for Sonoma's, which is within walking distance of our house.  The pathways from our house to the Owen Brown Village Center were pretty well plowed by the Columbia Association, making for an easy walk to lunch.

I know CA gets grief for a lot of things, but I gotta say they do a great job plowing the trailways in the wintertime-- they did the same good job about this time last year.

  1. Hear hear! As early as 11pm last night the path around Lake Elkhorn was already plowed. My dog was disappointed (only a little), but I was delighted. I sincerely appreciate their quick response.

  3. I was surprised but glad since I used the paths to walk to Giant the other day.

  4. Thank you for the kind words regarding CA and our snow removal operations. The Open Space Management Team works tirelessly in removing the snow and other debris after weather events. There are many miles of CA pathway and CA sidewalks that we remove snow from every storm, over 100 miles combined. County Parks also removes snow from pathways throughout the County parks and Columbia’s pathway system. The crews doing the hard work always appreciate the positive note! Thank you.
